Charles Lindberg was a US pilot. He was known for making the first nonstop flight from New York City to Paris, France. He was from Detroit, Michigan. He made his nonstop flight on May 21, 1927 and this made him one of America's early celebrity hero's. Charles Lindbergh decided to do this flight because he thought he was capable of doing it if he had the right aircraft.
